Message I'm trying to install Sport 550BB turbos on my Z and I'm having problems getting them to fit.

On the passenger side the turbo oil line mounts to an oil block. On one side of the block there are pipe threads that screw into the engine block and on the other side there is a banjo fitting that the oil line mounts to. This block gets in the way when you try to slide the turbo over the studs in the exhaust manifold. With the block there, you can't fit the turbo over the studs. With the block off, the turbo goes on easily but you can't get the block back on.

The passenger side oil line has a banjo fitting so it can mount to that annoying oil block. The driver's side oil line uses pipe threads and not a banjo fitting.

I noticed that when I take off the oil block, the driver's side SS oil line's pipe thread screws right into the hole that the oil block used to go into. It would seem to eliminate the problem that I'm having. Why do the SS lines use the banjo fitting on the passenger side instead of having a pipe thread like the driver's side? Does anyone have any tips?
